The midterm exam consists of two sections: a hands-on/practical section and an objective section.

Hands-on/Practical Section

• This section will require you to work with computer files and demonstrate skills with the Microsoft Office applications.

• Be sure you can perform the skills listed under sections for Working with Files, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel on the Skills Page.

• You will NOT need to do anything with Visual Basic.

Objective/Theory Section

• This section contains Multiple Choice questions drawn from:

  • The reading questions in Blackboard.
  • The handouts and worksheets.
  • The terms terms for Chapters 1-5 under Key Terms. You don't have to memorize exact definitions but you should be able to answer multiple choice questions about them. Know what the acronyms stand for.
